For decades, the Association of Physicians of Pakistani Descent of North America (APPNA) has represented more than professional achievement. At its heart lies a shared belief: physicians carry a responsibility that transcends borders—especially where human suffering is greatest. That belief finds its most visible expression through APPNA Medical Corps (AMC), APPNA’s humanitarian and medical mission arm.

AMC brings together physicians, surgeons, nurses, and allied health professionals to deliver ethical, organized, and impact-driven medical care to underserved populations. Its work is guided by a simple principle: healing must be compassionate, credible, and sustainable.
Vision 2026: Going Global With Purpose

The year 2026 marks a defining expansion for APPNA Medical Corps. Building on years of experience, AMC is scaling its reach and specialization—transitioning from isolated missions to a coordinated global footprint grounded in trusted partnerships and continuity of care.

In 2026, AMC will deploy multidisciplinary teams across five countries, addressing both acute needs and long-term capacity building:
January – Guatemala: Primary for underserved communities

April – Bangladesh: Clinical services for vulnerable populations

June – Jordan: Refugee and host-community care in collaboration with Islamic Relief USA and UNHCR

September – Pakistan: primary care/internal medicine sub, Specialities, surgical support, and institutional collaboration

December – Kenya: Integrated care across refugee camps and local hospitals

These missions will involve physicians from internal medicine, family medicine, pediatrics, cardiology, general and orthopedic surgery, neurosurgery, dermatology, psychiatry, and other specialties—supported by nurses, trainees, and volunteers.

Beyond Treatment: Building Capacity

What distinguishes AMC is its commitment to education, ethics, and sustainability. Each mission integrates hands-on training, bedside teaching, and professional exchange—strengthening local systems while delivering high-quality care today.
